Obituary of Gail M. Rounsville
Dansville – Gail M. Rounsville, 69 years of age, passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, Saturday September 3, 2016.
Gail was born January 9, 1947 in Cuba, NY the daughter of Alanson “Jack” Jr. and Shirley (Taber) Burr. She grew up in the Belfast / Scio areas and throughout the years also resided in Brockport, Corning and Lindley. In 1976 Gail moved to Dansville where she has resided ever since. On March 17, 2002 Gail and Dennis Rounsville were married. Together they have celebrated over 14 years of marriage. Her employment career was mostly spent as an administrative assistant at the Livingston County Healthcare Facility in Geneseo. She retired in 2002.
Gail’s hobbies were many. She enjoyed taking drives and travelling; riding along in the boat while Dennis fished. Gail especially loved the beach and spending time near the water, camping and being outdoors. Years ago she enjoyed sailing, spending time as a Girl Scout Leader and being a library clerk at the Dansville Public Library.
Gail was pre-deceased by her parents, Jack Jr. and Shirley Burr. She is survived by her husband of over 14 years, Dennis Rounsville of Dansville; her children, Valerie (Mark) Saveri of Nazareth, PA, Brian (Sheila) Brundage of N. Cohocton; her step-children, Shannon Wagner of Wayland, Marc Rounsville of Atlanta, Todd Rounsville of West Virginia and Brandy Rounsville (Bud Green) of Groveland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Cheryl (Richard) Holden of Hamburg, Andrew Burr of CA, Wendy (Jack) Kinney of Scio and Pamela Carapella (Ken) of PA; along with several nieces and nephews.
Gail’s funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of her family. For those wishing, please make memorial contributions in Gail M. Rounsville’s memory to a charity of your choice.
