Obituary of James E. Bell
Springwater / Ruskin, Florida – James E. Bell, 79 years of age, peacefully passed away April 3, 2017 at South Bay Hospital in Sun City, Florida. James was born May 2, 1937 in Luciusboro, PA.
James and Sandra Fleishman were married December 31, 1995 and together they have celebrated over 21 years of marriage. James and Sandra have most recently wintered in Florida and spend the summer months at Holiday Hill Campground in Springwater. James worked at General Motors for 31 years and was a veteran of the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge throughout the years, James served as a member of the United States Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his beloved wife and family.
James was pre-deceased by his parents, Robert and Anna Bell; his siblings, Lavina Hill, Cynthia Bell, Ken Bell and Bill Bell. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bell of Springwater; his children, James Jr. (Debra) Bell of Buffalo, Karen Bell of Glendale, AZ, Brian Bell of Buffalo, Sue Strozyk of Buffalo; his step-children, Michael (Renee) Fleishman of Wayland and Kimberly (David) Grissom of Sarasota, FL; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; his sisters, Linda Pacamosky and Ellen Hall; along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for James will be celebrated at 10:30am Monday June 12, 2017 at the Wayland Fire Hall, East Naples St., Wayland. Committal prayers, military honors and interment will take place at 2pm at the National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
