Obituary of Kelly R. Bortle
Dansville – Kelly R. Bortle, 33 years of age, passed away at his home in Dansville July 17, 2017. Kelly was born September 25, 1983 in Dansville the son of Eugene and Nancy (Wentworth) Bortle. He grew up in the South Dansville and Dansville areas and has remained a resident ever since. Kelly loved playing and watching sports, especially the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees.
Kelly was pre-deceased by his father, Eugene “Geno” Bortle; and his grandparents, William “Shorty” and Marion Bortle. He is survived by his daughter, Kayden of Dansville; his mother Nancy Bortle of Dansville; his brother Brad (Megan) Wentworth of SC; and his twin brother Adam Bortle of Dansville; his grandmother Leatha Wentworth of Dansville; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kelly’s family and friends may call Friday from 11-1 at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. His funeral service will be Friday at 2pm at the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, 101 South Lackawanna St., Wayland, NY. Committal prayers and interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wayland. Contributions in memory of Kelly R. Bortle may be made to the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, 101 South Lackawanna St., Wayland, NY 14572 or to the Wayland Fire Dept., 14 E. Naples St., Wayland, NY 14572.
