Obituary of Fredrick C. Dugan

  Wayland - Fredrick C. Dugan, 71 years of age, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2017 at home.

Fred was born January 17, 1946 the son of Herbert and Dorothy (Morgan) Dugan.  He grew up in and around the Rochester area and moved to Wayland in 1977 where he has resided ever since.  Fred and Sandra Glover were married and they spent many years together prior to Sandy passing away in 1996.  A couple years after Sandy’s passing, he met Nancy Vargas and they have been special companions and the love of each other’s life ever since.  His employment career was mostly with the Rochester Housing Authority.  He was a master plumber and electrician for them for many many years.

Fred enjoyed riding motorcycles and tinkering around in his shop, whether it was with something that had to do with mechanics or with wood.  He also liked to watch football, especially the Buffalo Bills and the local high shool team when his grandson was playing.  When talking with Fred, he liked to make you think and he was also a huge fan of tattoos! 

Fred was pre-deceased by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy Dugan; his wife, Sandy Dugan; his daughter, Lori Parsons; and a brother Barry Dugan.  He is survived by his special companion and love of his life, Nancy Vargas of Wayland;  his son, Fredrick W. Dugan of Wayland; his step-children, JR (Diane) Vargas of Spencerport, Carlos (Dawn) Vargas of Greece and Victoria Vargas of Wayland; his grandchildren, Fredrick C. Dugan, Jessica Parsons, Melissa Parsons and Rebecca Parsons; 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Deborah (Jim), Susie (Bob), Todd, Scott and Nelson; along with many nieces and nephews. 

Fred's family and friends may call Tuesday August 8, 2017 from 12-2pm at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.  Fred's funeral service will be following calling hours at 2pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Committal prayers and interment will be at North Loon Lake Cemetery immediately following.  Contributions in memory of Fredrick C.
