Obituary of Jack F. Amato
Wayland – Florida - Jack F. Amato, formerly of Wayland and currently residing in Florida, 83 years of age, passed away May 20, 2020. Jack was born December 17, 1936 in Avon, the son of Michael and Virginia (McCormick) Amato. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Iowa.
Jack enjoyed working, providing for his family and for fun he collected coins and Hess trucks.
Jack was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Virginia Amato; sisters, Betty Hosenfeld and B.K. Wolfanger. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy Amato of Brooksville, FL; his children, Jack Amato, Jr., of Lakeland; Joseph Amato and his wife, Katherine of IA; Jamie Rachow of NY; Jimmy Church and his wife, Bonnie of GA; Stephen Amato and his wife, Tonya of Port St. Lucie, FL; Wayne Hamilton and his wife, Jessie of Spring Hill, FL; numerous grandchildren, Jaclyn Amato, Jennifer, Kasey, Gared Amato, Jacob Church, John, Jewley, Justin, Jimmie, Josiah, Jeremy, Joseph Rachow, Lucas, Canyon, Lucas, Brianna, Ariella, Landon Amato; Kailee, Emma, Leah, Allie, Charlie Hamilton; great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Francis Gielan of Brooksville; Wanetta Davis of NY; Loretta Boley of CO; loving family and friends.
At this time due to the COVID-19 Pandemic there will be no public calling hours or funeral service.
