Ann Carey was a Saint! When I first came to Dansville in the mid 1970s she was the night supervisor at Noyes. When the sun went down she ran the hospital, from seeing patients in the ER to running the ICU. A doctors life was always easier when she was on duty. She didn't hesitate to tell you what she thought needed to be done and she was usually right.
Ann was the essence of hard work , compassion and kindness. A good friend as well
She will be missed, Paul Frame

Growing up my mom and Anne were great friends. We spent lots of time with the Carey family. I admired Anne as a nurse and she was an inspiration for me to become a nurse. My love to all the family, especially Sue. Christine Edmond Crouch

Our prayers to all of the Carey/Benedict Family. Memories tend to flood the mind at times like this: the Careys, Browns, Foxes, Dockstaders and many more from Cohocton when our moms were moms to all 'cause they were all friends and the doors were always open. Rest in Peace, Ann.

I remember all the talks I had with Ann at night at the hospital when I worked at the Dansville Police Department in the early 80's. We would go over to the ER at night and she would have coffee for us in the nurses room. Some of the trips were business because of a disruptive patient and help with the situation. Like I said many great talks in that room. She was always a positive type person who I admired.

I can remember as a child going to Mrs. Carey’s house and she butterflied my head. She always welcomed and helped our family. What a kind soul. Sue Reynolds McAvoy

This is not only to Ann but To all of her family. We lost a piece of the quilt of our growing up with her passing. So many early funny(not at the time for Ann) memories. What a wonderful lady and mom. We wouldn’t be the same without you and our memories of you in our lives. Thank You. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ann, you were more than just my mother in law, you were mom and a friend. So many memories shared and will forever be cherished. The fondest of memories include our yearly trips to Onondaga Lake to drive through the lights at Christmas as that was something we all looked forward to every year and then there were the many zoo trips. How we would just spend hours at the zoo looking at and reading about all the animals.
Ann, you provide so much love, encouragement, and wisdom to everyone and welcomed everyone with open arms. Your heart was made of gold.
I'll forever miss you and cherish all our memories for a lifetime.
Until we see each other again, rest easy and in peace.
Love, Shannon
