Obituary of Beth Anne Schubmehl
Wayland – Beth Anne Schubmehl, 46, passed away peacefully on February 26th surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving parents, Richard and A. Ann Schubmehl, brother, David (Val) Schubmehl, sister Julie (Curt) Colombo, along with nieces and nephews: Katie Moss, Rebecca, Matthew, Ellen Colombo and Brian (Carly) Colombo.
Beth grew up in Wayland, NY and will be missed by the entire community. Beth graduated from Wayland Central School; she championed inclusion for those with disabilities. Beth worked at Hilltop Industries in Mt. Morris for many years and never missed a day of work. Her hobbies included bowling, bingo, Uno, and listening to country music.
Special thanks to the staff and residents of Hope House in Retsof, NY where Beth resided for 3 years. Donations in Beth’s memory may be made to Vincent House, 310 Second Avenue, Wayland, NY 14572. Beth’s funeral service will be private for her family at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home. Committal prayers and interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wayland. Donations in Beth’s memory may be made to Vincent House, 310 Second Avenue, Wayland, NY 14572.
