Obituary of Albert Green

Mt. Morris – Albert Green was born March 7, 1960 in Hollywood, South Carolina. He was the son of Samuel Green Sr. and Catherine Bowens-Green. He departed this life on March 11, 2021. Albert attended Baptist Hill High School. Albert had a green thumb and loved gardening; especially his Collard Greens. While living in Yonges Island, South Carolina he enjoyed visiting the local creeks where he would crab, shrimp, fish and harvest oysters. Albert left home in 1979; where he moved to New York and continued to work hard while meeting new friends and spreading his infectious humor around. He loved to laugh and dance! Being around Albert there was never a dull moment. He loved his family dearly and considered his nieces and nephews his children. He was the perfect storm with the biggest heart. Albert was pre-deceased by his siblings, Evelina Green and Elouise Holmes (Hezekiah). He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories his siblings, Samuel Green Jr. of Charleston, SC, Lucius Green (Judy) of Elmira, NY, Julia Richardson (Lucas) of Elmira, NY, Pat Brown (William) of Parkers Ferry, SC, Bernard Green of Elmira, NY, Robert Lee Green (Aimiar) of Mt. Morris, NY, Brenda Green (Terrance) of Hollywood, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Albert’s family and friends will attend private services at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, Wayland. Interment will take place at the Wayland Village Cemetery.
