Obituary of Robert Blacknick
Wayland – Robert Blacknick, “Bobbie,” 83 years of age, passed away late Tuesday afternoon June 8, 2021 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Bobbie was born January 11, 1938 in New York City the son of Charles Sr. and Mary (Moore) Blacknick. In 1947, Bobbie moved to Sonyea and then he moved to Springwater. In 2007 he moved to Wayland where he has resided ever since.
Bobbie loved baseball, especially the New York Yankees; liked music and singing; enjoyed his picture and memory box; and loved the sundaes at McDonalds! He was very helpful with household chores and had a smile that would light up the room. Bobbie was a compassionate, caring person that cared for others feelings. An all-around good guy!!
Bobbie was pre-deceased by his parents; his brothers, Edward, William, Howard and Charles Jr. He is survived by his special friend Florence Tarszowicz and her family; along with countless friends, caregivers and staff of the Finger Lakes DDSO.
Bobbie’s friends may call Tuesday from 9:30am-10:30am at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. His funeral service will take place at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will take place immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery in Springwater.
