Obituary of Dennis A. Schwartz

Springwater – Dennis A. Schwartz, “Old Guy” - 66 years of age, passed away Friday July 9th, 2021. Dennis was born January 17, 1955 in Hornell. He lived the first 7 years of his life in Friendship and then moved to South Lima. In 1989 Dennis moved to Springwater with his soon to be wife, Shonalee Artlip. They were married April 13, 1999 and have resided in Springwater their entire time together. Dennis's employment career was entirely spent as a welder. He worked for Hilltop Welding, Hoffman and Sons, Kodak and retired from Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation in Dansville. His hobbies were many! He loved to golf and was a member of Conesus Golf Club; enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Wayland Bow Club; camping and CB Radio were favorites; along with active memberships in both the Springwater and Wayland Rod-n-Gun Clubs; he also loved mowing lawn with his John Deere mower! Dennis was pre-deceased by his son Eric J. Keenan; a brother, Martin J. Schwartz and a sister, Joyce Divine. He is survived by his wife, Shonalee Schwartz of Springwater; his daughter, Pamela Wishert of VA, son, Matthew Schwartz of WA; daughter, Danielle Schwartz (Jeremiah Lippincott) of Wayland; his grandchildren, River, Kai and Lucas; special family friends, Wayne and Misty Loop of Springwater; his brother Chuck Franklin of Belfast; his sister, Connie (Chris) Wolfer of East Aurora; and his best friend, his Schitzu, “Suggies!” Dennis’s family and friends may call Thursday July 15, 2021 from 2-4pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. An informal celebration will take place immediately following at the Conesus Golf Club.
