My husband Dennis and I were fortunate enough to have been next door neighbors of Chuck and Marlene for quite a few years in Port Charlotte. Chuck was always there with a warm welcome, a happy smile, a funny remark or great story. He was one of my favorite people I've come across in my life, I wish I had told him that. He will be sorely missed, spoken of often and fondly remembered. I know how much he loved his beautiful growing family always sharing photos and stories of them. You are all blessed to be a part of such a wonderful gentle man. We are so sorry you lost him. God bless you all, and God bless Chuck, may you Rest In Peace. Laurie and Dennis Keeler xo8

I happen to be camping last weekend and was walking by as Chuck was having coffee with a neighbor at Sun Valley. I said hello and told him who I was as he hasn't seen me in years. He said he was glad I stopped and told him who I was.
My best memory of Chuck is a story about the day my sister, Linda, graduated from high school at Arkport Central. We were running late for the ceremony so needless to say we were "flying over the hill" as we sometimes did. Linda received the Driver Education award at the graduation ceremony and Chuck said afterwards to my dad, "I'm so glad Linda got the Driver's Ed award as she just went flying by my house". They both laughed.
There are many of that generation who are gone today. Chuck will be greatly missed by the community but many will have fond memories him!!!
