Obituary of Helen E. Werth
Helen Werth, 93, currently living in Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away with her daughter, Kathy Werth and three granddaughters Chrissy, Heidi, and Amy by her side on June 14, 2015 in Hobe Sound, FL.
Helen was born March 6, 1922 in the town of Wayland, the daughter of John and Florence (Clancy) Mehlenbacher. Helen and Dale Werth entered into a loving marriage on June 27, 1941, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and together celebrated over 62 years of marriage prior to Dale passing away in March of 2004.
Together, Helen and Dale owned and operated their own farm in the Loon Lake/Wayland area. They grew potatoes and raised hundreds of Black Angus Cattle. They retired to Florida where they spent many happy years. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Helen was predeceased by both her parents, John and Florence Mehlenbacher; her husband Dale Werth; her son Donald Werth; and a grandson, Donald Werth Jr. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Werth of Jupiter FL, her son Tom Werth of Crawford GA, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Helen’s family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated for her, Monday at 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Church in Wayland. Committal prayers and internment will take place immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery in Wayland. Helen and her family have been assisted by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.
