Obituary of Linda Jean Mitchell

Dansville – Linda Jean Mitchell, 72 years of age, passed away Saturday June 4, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Linda was born October 16, 1949 in Wayland the daughter of Jesse A. and May (Schofield) Mitchell. She grew up in the Dansville area and lived with her parents until 2003. Since 2003, Linda has resided in different IRA homes in the local communities, settling in Mt. Morris in 2015. Linda enjoyed listening to her radio, attending day programs and had an avid love of coffee. You could not take her coffee away until she was finished! Linda also had a love for Jesus and especially enjoyed singing about Jesus! She is now at Peace with the Lord. Linda was pre-deceased by her parents, Jesse and May Mitchell; her sister-in-law who took care of her for several years, Jeanne Mitchell her siblings and in laws, Betty (Ray) Chappelle, Robert (Bessie) Mitchell and Edward Mitchell; She is survived by her brother William Mitchell of Dansville; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda’s family and friends may call at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home on Wednesday June 8, 2022 from 9:30-11am. Linda’s funeral service will be at 11am Wednesday at the funeral home. Committal prayers and interment will take place immediately following at Wayland Village Cemetery.
