Obituary of Sylvia M. Miller

Rochester – Sylvia M. Miller, 87 years of age, passed away Friday morning, June 10, 2022 at Unity Hospital in Rochester. Sylvia was born November 2, 1934 in Clyde, NY the daughter of Chester and Irene (Fratangelo) Monte. She grew up in Clyde and resided there for many years. Sylvia and John Miller (who was from Springwater) were married May 20, 1967 at St. John’s Church in Clyde. Sylvia and John resided in Rochester however they enjoyed spending time on their farm in Springwater. They celebrated close to 50 years of marriage prior to John passing away in April of 2017. Sylvia loved raising her children and then taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking them shopping, day trips and especially to McDonalds! Sylvia was pre-deceased by her parents, Chester and Irene Monte; and her husband John Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Douglas) Noah of N. Chili and her son Timothy Miller of Sarasota, FL; her grandchildren, Ashley and Dylan; her brothers Larry Monte of Pittsford and David Monte of Seneca Falls; along with nieces and nephews. Sylvia’s family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated for her on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church, 206 Fremont St., Wayland.
