Obituary of Samantha Lee Briggs

Dansville – Samantha L. Briggs, “Sam” – 52 years of age, passed away the morning of Thursday, June 16th 2022 at the Vincent House in Wayland. Sam fought a courageous battle with brain cancer with her son by her side. Born on May 10, 1970 in Canaseraga and was the daughter of Patrick and Pamela (Osborne) Blaney. She graduated from Canaseraga, spent most of her life in the Dansville area, had three boys that she loved and was proud of. Sam worked at a handful of locations during her time. Most notably was Kraft Foods, a small Alpaca fiber mill and farm. Then most recently UPS for over a decade out of the Arkport hub. Sam was a “spitfire” that would do anything for anyone on and off work. Outside of work Sam’s hobbies were many! She enjoyed kayaking, listening to live music (local bands), and found diamond dots therapeutic. Sam was also known as the “animal whisperer” and would help any animal, often donating to the local humane societies. Sam is survived by her three sons, Justin Briggs of Arkport; and her twins, Michael and Jacob Briggs of TN; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close special friends that were there for her until the end .A celebration of life will be announced.
