Obituary of Michelle A. Rauber

Dansville – Wayland – Michelle A. Rauber, 58 years of age, passed away early Friday morning, August 19, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Michelle was born October 7, 1963 in Wayland. She grew up in Wayland and was a 1981 graduate of Wayland Central School. Michelle moved to Dansville in the early 1980’s and has resided there ever since. In the mid 1990’s Michelle earned her degree in nursing at Alfred State College and became a registered nurse. She worked at various locations as a nurse including Dansville Central School and Groveland Correctional Facility. Michelle enjoyed flower gardening; shopping; singing in the Dansville Minstrel Show; decorating her house for all seasons and holidays; and she loved her swimming pool and sun bathing. Most of all though, Michelle loved her family; her children, mother and especially all her grandchildren – giving them all nicknames! Michelle is survived by her children, Nichole Quinones (Sonny Nguyen) of Dexter, NY, Alexander Velazquez of Okinawa, Japan and Adrian (Megan) Velazquez of NC; her loving mother, Waneeta (Terry) Davis of Perkinsville; her grandchildren, Storm, Ziel, Annabella, Isais, Mason and Grayson; her brothers, Jeffrey Mason of Springwater and Terry Beach (Kerry) of Dansville; her sister, Kimberly (Jim) Mastin of MD; her nephews, Josh, Kristina and Julia Mason; her aunts, Frances Gielen and Debbie Dickerson; several cousins; and she leaves behind her loving dog, “Teddybear.” Michelle’s family and friends may call Saturday August 27, 2022 from 11-1pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland. Michelle’s funeral service will be at 1pm at the funeral home, with a celebration of life to follow at the Perkinsville Fire Hall located at 1904 Co Rd, Wayland, NY, 14572.
