When this originally came out I typed the whole thing out and the site crashed. Lol. I think that was Aunt Carol telling me to shush.
The other night I was doing the dishes and my husband said something along the lines of things Aunts say…. I said one thing Carol always said was “Hey Angi, take a long walk off a short peer!” Hahahah
Aunt Carol, these last few years have been rough on you. Loss, health, moving around….. I’m sorry I wasn’t there. I struggle with that. It wasn’t long ago when I finally had an address for you. Thank you for being a constant in my life. Thank you for making me laugh, telling me when I’m being a jerk and for teaching me how to make you’re macaroni and cheese. By the way, I still make it. In fact my kids ask for it. Haha
You taught me that dinner was at 5. How to keep an amazingly clean house. How to be mouthy but so smart….. the memories of holidays, how we would go to your house in north cohocton after school and I would stop at the old country store to buy candy before going to your house. How you would come to buffalo to see us…. We would shop, go to the galleria, and have pizza. We would make a whole weekend out of it. I looked forward to it…..
I will miss you. I owe you so much. I hope you’re up there with mom having a drink and laughing. I hope grandma is with you, and uncle terry, uncle Denny, and uncle per….. and I hope Dick is laughing just as loud as he alway did.
Please watch over us all. Especially Dad. He misses you.
I’m so thankful my kids got to know you. Justin was so upset when he heard. He and I cried together. Bailee is tough like you…..so she just kept checking on me. Kevin was sad too, but, he’s a tough guy and wouldn’t tell me. Lol
We love you.
