Uncle Tom, Carlene, Tommy, boys and families. I just heard of Teddy's passing today, April 8th. I hardly ever get on FB anymore and never watch the news. I am so terribly sorry for the loss of Teddy. My heart is broken for you all.
I will always remember coming over as a teen, in the summer and watch all 4 of the kids. I enjoyed those times so much. i absolutely love all of them. i am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. i love you all.

For the few years we knew Theo, he was always quick to respond to our calls for assistance on Bald Hill. When he arrived, he was always joyful and happy every time to help us with a problem – sometimes a stuck tractor! He brought his sons several times, teaching them how to deal with machinery, and showing them by example how to be a good neighbor and a good friend.
We are blessed to have known him and will miss him.

Ted…I have always admired the great job you did raising your sons, Brandon and Benny. You did amazing by the boys and helped mold who they are today. I am confident they will do you proud. I’m just heartbroken for them to lose their great Dad so young. I am so proud and honored to call you my nephew. RIP Ted ❤️

My only trip to the boat was during 'bubbler' season. Ted always had it under control!

About 1980, I met Theo when he was working for Ron Proctor at the Texaco station in Springwater, over the years we did SAL and the fire dept together. We would hunt from sun up to sun down then venture back to Theo place for a few cold beers and sharing laughter and stories of our day. Theo was helpful doing excavating work for me over the years with his dozer and back hoe an everyday friend will be missed my condolences my prayers to the family rest easy my friend

Another former student in less than two weeks is very heart wrenching to this former English teacher. Much too young, and my condolences to the family. I know the Canute family is a strong one and the support among its members will allow this grief to be survived and endured. Prayers for Ted...

I spent alot of time with this man and his family growing up. He taught me alot. I'll always remember shooting pool at the legion with him late at night listening to some great tunes. When my father passed away I spent summers with him working and just hanging out learning new things. He will be forever missed.

I went to school and graduated with Ted and his brother Terry. We shared many good times and memories. The one that comes to mind first is a time when the three of us skipped school to watch the DEC shock Springwater Creek. We were up in a big willow tree overlooking the creek. A camera crew was there and captured video of us sitting up in the tree like a couple of buzzards! We made the 6:00 news! This is just one of many memories I have with Ted. May you Rest In Peace brother

I knew Theo for a long time. Actually before his twin brother passed. He was the mayor of Springwater. Privlaged enough to meet his parents as well. Always willing to help anyone. I have many priceless memories of Theo and the boat on the River, Kodak, and I’ll never forget They say what do for yourself in life dies with you but the things you did for others lives forever. RIP my friend
