Obituary of Russell G. Paul

Wayland – Russell G. Paul, 66 years of age, passed away early Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2023 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. Russell was born March 15, 1957 in Rochester the son of Harold and Rosemary (Fox) Paul. He grew up in Honeoye, graduated high school there and moved to Wayland in 1986. Russell and Harriet Emerson were married August 13, 1988 in Dansville and together have celebrated over 34 years of marriage. Russell and Harriet moved to Honeoye in 2009 and lived there until a year ago when they moved back to Wayland. Russell enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. Hunting, camping and fishing, along with riding his golf cart at camp to name a few. However mostly Russell enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Besides his parent’s Harold and Rosemary Paul, Russell was also predeceased by his In-Laws, Helen and Jack Emerson. He is survived by his wife Harriet at home, children; Kellylyn Paul of Wayland, Ruddley (Sarah) Emerson of Westport, Maine and Michael Paul of Livonia. His grandchildren Leona Pittman, Tyler Emerson, Bianca Shaffer, Autumn Clayton and Owen Paul. A sister; Sharon Paul and a brother; John (Lisa) Paul. Two Nieces; Marley Kay Peterson and Kerrie Ann Paul. Russell’s family and friends may call Monday July 10, 2023 from 2-5pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland, NY. His funeral service will be Monday at the conclusion of calling hours at 5pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of life will also take place at a later date.
