Obituary of David James Dobson

Canaseraga – David James Dobson, 58 years of age suddenly passed away Tuesday April 23, 2024 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Dave was born December 4, 1965 in Buffalo the son of David G. and Patricia (Evoy) Dobson. He grew up in and resided in the Buffalo area until his move to Canaseraga in 2010. Dave and Kelly Hickein began a relationship and were together over 28 years. They wed on October 2, 2009 in Tonawanda. He was a handy man and jack of all trades. He loved helping his family and friends whenever they asked and he was available. Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and most recently cooking; especially homemade soups. Dave also loved to jam to his music on his Sansui speakers! He was a simple man that didn’t need much but was always there to help. Dave was pre-deceased by his father David G. Dobson. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Dobson of Canaseraga; his daughter Haylee Dobson and her fiancée, Teri Hawkes of Canaseraga; his mother, Patricia M. Dobson; his sister, Patricia “PJ” Dobson of West Seneca; his brother, Thomas C. Dobson of West Seneca; his nephew Thomas Dobson and niece, Lucille Dobson; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Dave’s family is planning a private celebration of life later this year.
