Dean will be missed greatly. Such a wonderful man. He added so much to the communities of Atlanta and Cohocton.....anywhere he was, not only as a Pastor, but as a friend. He was the kind of person who would listen to you when you needed someone to talk to. He could always find the bright side of any situation. He could make you laugh. We will miss you Dean and Vesta.

To my Friend & Neighbor for almost three Decades;
You and Vesta shared your Home and Your Life with me.
I shall always remember our good times together, and all of the stories of your life; Most of which you told me with pictures you held dear to your heart.
I thank you for having me in a third of your life; and for you being around whenever I needed you for a half of my life.
Remember you asked me once in Jest; “What will it take for you to leave”?
My reply was: “Oh Dean, You don’t want me to answer that.”
You now have your answer.
You and Vesta are together again; Now and for all eternity; Living All of the Love You Both took with you to the Gates of Saint Peter; and beyond to your Home with God.
I shall miss you My friend; until we meet again.

Dear Bembower family. I knew Reverend Bembower,thirty some years ago,when they lived in Atlanta,NY. I lived across the street from him. He was a very good man of God.
I had moved to Loon Lake area and I called him one day,because I needed his advice on some things I was going through.
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. The are both together with God . Please except my condolences of both your Parents. Jane Salles

Sorry to hear about Reverend Bembower. I only saw him a few times about 50 years ago - when I was a little girl. My grandmother, Helma Merrill, took me to the Atlanta Presbyterian Church on Sunday mornings when I was visiting. It might have been the first time I ever went to church, and I was so interested in everything there! I loved singing the old hymns - (and still do). I can still see Reverend Bembower standing at the pulpit speaking, and shaking my hand as we left. I remember feeling a peacefulness there - Reverend Bembower made such an impression on me, I never forgot him.

I know it is sad for you to lose your dad/granddad and your mom/grandmother at the same time, but what a beautiful ending to a very good and loving marriage. Your dad was such a fine person--always ready with a good story and good news. My husband and I got to know Dean when he would come to school events because Vesta would be involved and he wanted to show his support. He was a good and caring man who silently, but full of concern, would tend to people who needed compassion--it didn't matter if they were congregants in his church. You had two wonderful parents and grandparents. May God bless Dean Bembower and may God bless all who love him and will miss Dean. My sincerest sympathy.

You were a great man, Rev. Bembower and you will be sadly missed by many many people. You and Vesta can now spend eternity together. You two were the epitome of true love. Very few people ever reach that level of love. RIP and God Speed

I had the pleasure of meeting Dean at church on Sunday mornings. Over the months and years we became friends and I so wanted to see him before he left us. Dean and his lovely wife will long be remembrred fondly. I look forward to seeing them again.
