Obituary of Sharon Lynn Woodbeck
Wayland - New Jersey – Sharon L. Woodbeck “ Sherry” 75 years of age, passed away Monday evening, March 20, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Sherry was born August 25, 1947 in Tenton, NJ the daughter of William Sr. and Marjorie (Parent) Haldeman . She grew up and remained a resident of New Jersey most of her life. In 2002 Sherry and her life partner, Gerald Fest bought property in Wayland, built a log cabin and eventually moved there.
Sherry’s employment career was taking care of others. She retired from Complete Care @ Burlington Woods, NJ as a rehabilitation technician at the nursing home. She was a trained massage therapist and enjoyed that as well. Sherry loved her dogs and cats; Country and Blues music, especially Willie Nelson! Anything tie dyed, the Bohemian and Hippy lifestyle was what Sherry was all about. She was a member of ACOA and personal growth was an integral part of her life.
Sherry was pre-deceased by her parents, William Sr. and Marjorie Haldeman; her husband, Rand Lee Woodbeck; and her nephew Eric Rogers. She is survived by her life partner, Gerald E. Fest of Wayland; her daughter, Shannon Dunlap of Victor; her grand-daughter, Keegan Luther; her step-daughter, Cindy (Michael) Tighe of NJ; more grandchildren, Andrew, Ayden and Adaya; her siblings, Jean A. Haldeman (Laurie Curtis) of NJ, William G. (Terri) Haldeman of NJ, Mary Haldeman of Wayland and Kim (Ron) Hull of NJ; and especially her cats, Flash and Dolly Deutz!.
Sherry’s family and friends will celebrate her life in a meaningful way at their convenience.
